Peace Lecture at KIPCOR

Story will give the KIPCOR Peace Lecture Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. in Krehbiel Auditorium in Luyken Fine Arts Center on the Bethel campus. KIPCOR is the Kansas Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution, Bethel’s peacebuilding institute.

Friends of KIPCOR are invited to help support the institute, and also enjoy a more intimate setting in which to hear from Story, at a special dinner to be held Nov. 7 before the lecture at Kaufman House, where the KIPCOR offices are located.

The People’s Coalition at Moonstone Festival

Moonstone is a one-day festival celebrating the female presence in music and art. Our music lineup will feature national touring acts with two rotating stages. In addition to music, there will be a live art wall and installations by local and regional visual artists. This will be our inaugural event taking place on Saturday, November 16th at Sloss Docks and property of Back Forty Beer Company.

The People’s Coalition, invites you to join us for a panel discussion and reception at the DUMBO Made in New York Media Center. We will be moderating a very necessary and stimulating discussion with a diverse panel of local activist and artivist about social justice work in the Trump Era. We hope that you’ll join us as we also celebrate our restorative justice informed organization and our charitable initiatives.

The People’s Coalition is a 501(c)3 that aims to increase access to resources to interrupt the impact of structural violence experienced by marginalized people through smartphone applications and social media campaigns.
